Edge Board
Edge board is also known as edge protectors, corner board, cornerboard, v-board, cargo edge protectors, etc. Edge board used in conjunction with strapping or stretch film, helps create a tight, secure cube to contain your product and prevent damage from shifting during shipping, handling and storage.
Overview
Our edge board is manufactured in the USA by laminating multiple plys of 100% recycled paper together to form a rigid right angle. It is reusable, 100% recyclable or can be disposed of safely.
- Edge board is available in plain with white outer layer, all kraft (no white), or printed with a standard or custom message.
- Edge Protection, in order to protect container edges from strapping and rough handling.
- Stacking Strength, which is vertical reinforcement enables product to be stacked higher, saving on shipping cost and warehouse space.
- Interior Strength, which reinforces strength of folding boxes when added to inside corners.
In General: edge board, properly used in conjunction with strapping or stretch film, helps create a tight, secure shipping cube. This reduces shipping damage and increases customer satisfaction.
SIZES & SPECIFICATIONS
Since our edge board is made to order you are not limited to the sizes listed on this website, so you can order the size that meets your specific needs. There are three measurements that determine the board size: Thickness (caliper), Leg size and Board length.
Edge Board Thickness (caliper)
Thickness is measured in thousands of an inch and range from .060 to .500. Custom thicknesses are available. Our nine standard thicknesses are: .060, .120, .140, .160, .180, .200, .225, .350 and .400
Edge Board Leg Sizes
Leg sizes are produced from five paper widths 3", 4", 5", 6" and 8". The angle is formed with either equal or offset leg lengths. Our six standard leg sizes are 2"x2", 2"x3", 2"x4", 2.5"x2.5", 3"x3" and 4"x4". Custom leg sizes are available.

Edge Board Length
Our edge board is cut to order. Minimum length is 2", maximum length is restricted only by ability to ship the product.
Edge Board Specifications
- Degree of angle: 90
- Thickness (caliper): .250 and below; minus .010" plus .005" thickness above .250; minus .015" plus .005"
- Leg size tolerance: plus or minus 1/8"
- Board length tolerance: plus or minus 1/8"
Edge Board Custom Piece Counts
If custom skid counts are required, we can do that.
CUSTOM PRINTING
We can print your company name, logo, handling instructions, or whatever information you would like. Inside or outside of the edge board can be printed.
- Stock Colors: Blue PMS 286, Blue PMS 301, Green PMS 348, Red PMS 185 and Black. There is an up-charge for non-stock colors.
- Before ordering printed kraft edge protectors, we recommend that you first inspect a color sample.
- Minimal one time charge for Plates and Art Work.
